I got up and went to church with my little boy. He made me the sweetest card in Sunday School. It is a red card with his picture on the front cut out into the shape of a heart! So when I got home from Church, Mallory met me here. We then left Lance here with Chris, and went to get our nails and feet done. It was the most amazing pedicure I have ever had. They even did a parafin wax on my feet! Then after relaxing in the massage chair for an hour and a half, we hit up the mall where I got 2 new shirts! I could have gotten more if I wanted, but that's all I found that i liked. I know right, when I am ALLOWED to go shopping I can never find anything. Doesn't it always work out that way? So when I get home from the mall, Chris had ordered me a new laptop (a little netbook!) and a new digital camera! I am SO EXCITED!

Well, Lance needs a new pull up so I will have to write nore later!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-65902670911823954132009-05-11T16:43:00.000-07:002009-05-11T16:54:34.040-07:00HappinessSo I was recently (about a minute ago, lol) browsing on a frequently visited by me website called www.getorganizedwizard.com. I found an article on How to be Happier. An instant contentment boost is to list things that you are grateful for, counting your blessings, and the like. So here I go... I am going to attempt ten things that I am grateful for in my life.

1. My beautiful son, the light of my life.
2. My wonderful husband who makes every day just a little better with a kiss.
3. I am grateful that I live in nice, quiet Frisco, TX. Where the crime rate is low and family values are high.
4. I am grateful for my husband's job which allows me to be a SAHM. I can raise my son how I see fit and get my day full of chores, and errands done.
5. I am grateful for my church. I have found a great church that welcomed me as family as soon as I walked in the door. That is so hard to find and I am so glad that I did.
6. I am grateful for all of the wonderful people I have in my life! My grandmother is at the very top of my list. She is my rock, and I don't know where I would be without her.
7. Healthcare. I am so grateful for the health insurance that we have. Sounds weird to put that on this list, but it makes life so much nicer knowing that if Lance gets a fever I can take him to the dr with no hassle.
8. My dog. I am grateful for her because no matter how bad I am feeling, she can make is all better with just a little nuzzle of her snout. She loves me unconditionally!
9. Speaking of love.... I am grateful for all the love that I have to give and that is returned to me. After all, what is a life without love?
10. My apt. I am grateful for my apartment. It is not the mansion I used to dream of living in as a child, but it is a nice, and cozy home. Where I can make homemade meals for my family, and of course, it is a ROOF over our head at night.

There's my list! I encourage all of you to make one of your own. I will be making one periodically to remind myself what a lucky girl I really am!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-74946936389197802372009-05-09T06:11:00.000-07:002009-05-09T06:35:25.158-07:00Busy Busy BeeI have been a busy girl lately. I have been keeping up with my HMB regularly and my house looks great! I make homemade meals for dinner and breakfast. Lunch us usually something frozen or leftover from the night before. So I thought I would let you into my life a little bit more and tell you my morning schedule (and keep in mind, this is just for the morning!)

Wake up at 6:30, wash face, brush teeth
Take meds
Start Coffee
Start Laundry
Unload and reload the dishwasher.
Wake Lance/brush his teeth
Get Lance Breakfast
Straighten Living room
Run any errands that need to be run before Chris gets up for work
Lay out Chris' Clothes
Make bed (after he drags his but out of bed)
Straighten bathroom (wipe down counters, etc)
Make Chris breakfast

And then after that, I start my actual cleaning for the day. I ususally have at least one of two rooms that I focus on a day so I dont get overwhelmed. I deep clean those rooms.

So, there you have it, and all of this BEFORE 12:30.

Anyways, does anybody have any special mother's day plans? I do NOT. Chris kinda sucks with the gift giving and surprise things. I AM however going to get my nails filled and a pedicure tomorrow after church. Hopefully since it is mother's day, Chris will watch Lance so I can actually relax during my pedicure. Maybe I can talk Chris into taking me out to lunch or dinner so I don't have to cook! Idk, I wish he would just come up with that stuff on his own, lol.Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-86269643456317731112009-05-01T08:06:00.000-07:002009-05-01T08:18:10.558-07:00Home Management BinderSo, I have really been trying hard to be a "domestic diva" a "domestic engineer" if you will. I have been busting my butt around here to keep it clean and tidy and every other word for spick and span that you can think of. It just had not been working for me for so long. I was unmotivated, unorganized and just plain lazy! BUT I read a book called Happy Housewives : I used to be a whining, complaining, desperate housewife, but I snapped out of it and you can too! by Darla Shine. The book really inspired me to be a REAL homemaker. But I knew I would need some help staying on task. I did some research and read that a lot of women make Home Management Binders. So I gave it a shot. My home management binder contains the following. When you first open it up is my menu for the week. Then behind that is my grocery list that I am keeping for the next week. As soon as I think of something we will need, I write it down, or as soon as we run out of something, I write it down. Next start my dividers. Planning, which contains my to do lists that I make. I make one a day and keep them all so I can keep track of my progress. This section also has my chore list. So if I write down that I need to clean the kitchen, I can flip to my chore list and see exactly what to do in the kitchen.

The next divider is "Phone Numbers". This is where I keep take out menus and keep a list of all of mine and Chris' phone numbers in case something happens to either cell phone, or a babysitter cannot get ahold of one of us or whatever.

Next is "Home Management". This section contains printed out calenders, one per month. I write down every appointment, play date and errand on it that way i dont forget. I also check the calendar every day and write down that day's running around on the to do list for the day.

Next section is for the bills that come in the mail. The ones that need to be paid. After they are paid, I remove them so I know what still needs to be paid and what doesnt.

The last section is for "Meals". This is were I keep extra meal plan forms which i make and print out on the computer. I also keep old menus here so I can look back if I am having trouble deciding what to pu ton a menu, and get ideas.

I also keep extra paper and a pen in my notebook at all times.

So there ya have it, my saving grace. With the help of my HMB (for short) my house looks amazing, my life is organized and in order, and everyone is much happier!

You should make one and see the difference that it makes in YOUR life!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-41216284077084736432009-04-29T15:39:00.000-07:002009-04-29T15:58:03.635-07:00Just an update on me!So, I have been searching for more things to do with my son... as you already know. I came across this website just minutes ago and looks like something I want to do. http://www.angelfire.com/tx4/momsclubfriscotx/childrens.htm
It's a club for mom's and kids and they organize a bunch of activities per month. Like Park days, and play groups and field trips. I am pretty excited about it, I emailed them for more information.

Also this swine flu thing has gotten me so paranoid. Go figure that this stuff would come up right before my trip to Mexico right? I even took Lance to the doSoctor today for a cough because I was cared that it might be swine flu. I know, paranoid.

So, my dad called me today with major attitude saying the wedding is off. He was all like, are you happy now...? Well, as it turns out she doesnt want to marry him unless his family is happy with it and well, since I am pretty much his only family, and I don't support it... tough titties for him. lol. Then he called back and said that he doesnt know if the wedding is on or off, they have to get together to talk. Bleh....

Thats all for now...Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-12795147110836136982009-04-27T15:42:00.000-07:002009-04-27T15:49:42.482-07:00Child's Dough Hand PrintsOk, so while I was researching some things for Lance and I to do together... I came across this recipe to make your child's handprints in dough.

Materials needed:
2 C Flour
1 C Salt
1 C Water
Food Coloring
Matching Ribbon
Sharpie or paint pen
Rolling pin
Wax paper
Butter knife

Directions:
Preheat oven to 200. Add food coloring to water. Then add in flour and salt. Mix together until all smooth. Dough should be stiff. Roll into a ball and them place on wax paper. Roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Dump the wax paper upside down on a cookie sheet. Trim up edges or cut into a shape (ie. heart, circle, square) with butter knife. Place child's hand in the middle and press down. Careful not to press down too hard because you don't want to go all the way down to the bottom. Cut two holes in the top of the dough (to string the ribbon through). Place in oven and bake for 2 1/2 hours. Careful not to over bake. Remove from oven and let cool. Once cooled off you may write your child's name and date above or under the handprint and string the ribbon through the holes so you can hang.

**When we did this I had to dust flour over the top of it so Lance didn't get dough all over his hands.

Will post picture when it is done baking!

Have Fun!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-73241931602560766342009-04-27T06:51:00.000-07:002009-04-27T07:00:31.545-07:00You thought I had forgotten about you did you!?Well, it has been one month to the day since I have written a blog. I was sitting here during my morning down time (before Lance wakes up), reading my book. The book got me thinking. I am reading Happy Housewives: I used to be a whining, complaining, desperate housewife, but I snapped out if it, you can too! The book has 10 steps to being a happy housewife. I must admit, I am actually taking things from the book and learning a lot. She mentions things that I have never even thought about. Well I was on Step 8: Take time for yourself, when I realized that if i wake up every morning at 7 since Lance wakes up at 8... I will have an hour of "mommy time".

I have been so busy lately with trying to keep my house up to par with what my husband expects, and what all of us deserve, that I have been totally neglecting my mental state, lol. I HAVE been doing my makeup and hair every day and actually getting dressed in the mornings, and this alone has made me feel tons better. If you don't do this, you should try it. It has made me feel so much better about myself. I don't feel just like a frumpy housewife anymore. It makes my day go a lot smoother just because I don't feel so bad.

On another note, my dad is getting married. I know! WTF right? Anyways, he is doing it this week and I told him that he wont see me there because I don't think it is appropriate.

Also, since he is getting married, selling the house and the things in it, and moving... I decided that there were some things of my mother's that I wanted. So yesterday, my uncle Kevin and my grandmother and I went out to my dad's and got me my mom's piano, her antique vanity, and photo albums and books and other things. So that was the entire day yesterday, and let me tell you, that piano is probably 400 lbs.

Well, Lance is wanting some attention so I better go for now, but dont worry, it wont take me a month to get back. I plan on being very active with my blog again.

Thanks for stoppin by!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-26639382220665460652009-03-27T12:44:00.000-07:002009-03-27T12:55:26.984-07:00I am having a hard timeI am so stressed out to the core. Every little thing is getting to me lately. Like this morning Chris and his brother were sitting here in the living room and everything they were saying were really getting to me. I was getting so irritated. And now, my son! He is supposed to be in bed napping. It is 2:46 and his naptime is 1:30. I have already taken all of his toys out of his room, turned off his cartoons, and he still finds things to get into! He has pulled all of his clothes out of the closet and strewn them all over the floor. Even the ones on hangers.... pulled down! He will not lay down. I need his naptime to regroup and regain my sanity.

Also, I am super stressed about this dang Cancun trip. I cannot get my license because I have one or more outstanding tickets. So I have to go BACK to the DPS and get a state ID and HOPE I can get my passport with that. I also have to find 5 other forms of identification. I have to get my dad to find my adoption papers.

PLUS, this weight is not coming off. AT ALL! I had lost 1 lb but now I have gained like 7! What is up with that? I have been dieting and working out and NOTHING is working!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-63692090666960377392009-03-18T11:03:00.000-07:002009-03-18T11:12:55.868-07:00It's been a whileSince i have blogged. I guess go through phases of blogging. Where I write a lot for a while, then dont write at all for a while. Anywho... The weightloss is not going so great. I made a doctors apt with my doctor to see if there is something I am doing wrong, or something I am not doing that might help and so on and so forth. I have actually GAINED a pound, and I have been dieting hardcore and working out 4 times a week.

In other news, I have my apartment CLEAN for the most part. I still have got to do closets and laundry, and unpack a few boxes but after today I should be DONE! SO EXCITED! We all know how much I procrastinate on getting this stuff done, but I am going to stay on my own ass about keeping it up .

So funny, I ended up having to take ALL of Lance's toys out of his room yesterday so he would lay down for a nap. It worked! I made a place for them in the hallway by his room and that is where they are going to stay from now on. I will give him a few to play with at a time and this will also help his room stay not so trashed all the time, lol.

The BIGGEST news...
So as you know my wonderful hubby works for T-Mobile as a Tier-3 Tech Support at the call center they have here in Frisco. Well his name was on the list to be sent to either Mexico or Argentina for a month to help with training in the new centers that are there. Well, since my baby is so AMAZAZING at his job... he was picked FIRST on the list of 6 people to go! He is going to Argentina for a month in April! How awesome is that?! I mean, I am obviously going to miss him like crazy, but this is a great opportunity for him and pretty much a once in a lifetime trip!

I also FINALLY got an ID! After probably a year of not having one, I went and got one. It should be here soon and then I have to go straight to the post office and get my passport for our Mexico trip in May.

Thats all for now, I will write more later I promise!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-37873744841654978382009-03-08T07:24:00.000-07:002009-03-08T07:30:02.548-07:00Not so muchSo per my previous post, I was trying to lose some weight. It is not going so well. I HAD lost 1 lb but now I have gained it back. This sucks. I dont know what else to do. I am going to work out tonight so I am going to work out extra hard in hopes that i will lose some weight finally.

In other news I am irritated. I am not going to say exactly why because it may make some of you uncomfortable. BUT last night was supposed to be girls night out, well I couldn't find a ride so I couldn't go. Well when Chris heard that, he made plans and went out. So I message him between 10:30 and 11 and tell him Good night baby, I am headed to bed, I love you. PS wake me up when you get home............ How hard is it to wake somebody up and give them what they have been asking for for two days? Is he seriously that disgusted with me that he can't? Sigh, I need a cigarette.Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-52533666675295018762009-02-27T14:23:00.000-08:002009-02-27T14:33:00.131-08:00Weighing inSo Helen and I have started a contest. Who can loose the most weight. We started today, we weighed in. And I am reluctantly going to post my weight on my blog. I figure the more people know about what I am trying to do, the more I will have to stick with it. So... today... i weighed in at 160 even. This is the most I have ever weighed in my life. So, I have started trying to eat healthier and working out. I have been power walking a mile every night and yesterday I started doing yoga again. I am drinking water like crazy trying to keep myself feeling full and keep cravings away.

Anybody have any tips for someone trying lose some serious weight?

Thats all for now, any tips or ideas would be gratefully appreciated, leave a comment, or you can email me at missmandalea@gmail.com.

I look forward to hearing from some of you!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-2183068690841121542009-02-23T17:33:00.000-08:002009-02-23T17:41:12.276-08:00Body of a goddessI used to have one. And then I got pregnant. I started working out last night in hopes of shedding the fat belly that I have acquired in the last 3 years. One can hope right? It feels incredibly hopeless. I get so tired and out of breath after like 5 min, lol. Hopefully having Mallory do it with me will help some. I have also got to start eating right. You have to be able to afford more than Ramen noodle and Hamburger Helper for that though. I have actually been craving some healthy foods lately, last night I was craving a salad and today i was craving all sorts of fruits and other veggies. I want to be skinny again so badly, but do i have the will power to find a routine and stick with it? Lets pray that I do. I am so tired of this shit (er, i mean, poop). Feeling disgusting in my own skin, not wanting to wear anything other than pajamas all the time because i feel nothing looks right. UGH! Does anybody know what I am going through here?

I went out to lunch with Nikki (Chris' older sister) and our friend Jen(no not that one, another one)and it was quite enjoyable. I actually got to get out of the house today and do something with adults! YAY for me! Although of course I had to take Lance with me. We went to the Stonebriar mall and Lance got to ride the carousel. He had so much fun. He cried when it stopped.

Thats all thats floating around in my head for now, Ill talk to you all later!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-66994835591420648122009-02-22T08:17:00.000-08:002009-02-22T08:28:28.716-08:00Procrastination Kills....brain cells. Or something like that. I sit here, mesmerized by the TV. I am watching this show called the Bad Girls Club. It is a reality show about all of these not so nice girls living together. When, actually I SHOULD be up cleaning and doing laundry. I guess I will in a little while. I want to have it done before Chris wakes up( he is off work today and was out really late last night), we will see if it happens.

So, Lance's birthday party was rescheduled due to his BFF being sick, and other friends not being able to make it, and lack of funds this week. So it was postponed to next sunday, same time, same place. I was dissappointed because I was really looking forward to seeing everybody and getting out of the house. Oh well.

Thats all for now, i have such a short attention span lately.Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-5103924387561674702009-02-19T09:08:00.000-08:002009-02-19T09:21:40.287-08:00Home sweet home, still.
So, we are not moving. The apartment that we are in offered us a killer deal that we just could not pass up. They took about 100 dollars off of our montly rent, offered us two weeks free in March, a fresh coat of paint, and a carpet cleaning. So we are just going to stay here and fix this place up a little more. We re arranged the living room and it already makes the biggest difference. We are planning on taking down the dinning room table for more room. We are also going to get an entertainment center and a bookshelf. And for the bedroom folks.... night stands. Yes, finally some night stands.

So I baked the test batch of cookies last night with the help of Mallory. The third batch turned out great, so now I know what I need to do for the party. I will bake the cookies tomorrow, ice them on Saturday and they will be ready for the goody bags on Sunday just in time for the party!

I have really been slacking on the whole wifey thing lately. No... not THAT. lol. I mean i have been slacking on the housewifey cleaning stuff. I have been so busy lately with trying to get this apartment ready to move that I have been neglecting Laundry and stuff like that.

Well, ladies and gents, I better get to it! Talk to you all later!

PS. Lance has this toy called The Hooked on Phonics Smart Stick and it is a game to help him learn his colors and shapes. And I am please to announce that at the age of 2 (almost 3) he knows most of his colors and a few shapes!

PSS. Mal is coming over tonight and we are going to start working out 3 times a week! Go us! Maybe I WILL be in shape by the time May rolls around! Wish me luck!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-48693028041856214572009-02-16T08:03:00.000-08:002009-02-16T08:30:18.437-08:00Car TroubleCar Trouble? Hardly! Try no car at all! I wrecked it. Yes, I am fine, and no Lance wasn't in the car. My car however needs some TLC now. This stupid driver came into my lane, and instead of hitting the car, I ran up on the curb. Then I lost control of my car and got back on the street and ended up on the sidewalk again. I broke my wheel and the oil filter. Needless to say, my car is not drivable now.

This puts us in a small predicament. Chris now has to walk to work (Thank God we live close), and I am having to call on friends to come get me to run errands. The worst time for this to happen as I am trying to get Lance's birthday party together. Jenny is going to come and pick me up on Friday and take me to Party City that way I can get the table cloths and plates and balloons. Merinda is coming out early on Sunday to take me to get the cake (which I can order on the phone)and to get the balloons aired up! Things seem to be working out for the most part, but I hate feeling totally helpless. The good news is, my car should be fixed sometime this week.Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-27958083490245497652009-02-10T08:35:00.000-08:002009-02-10T08:45:31.575-08:00Birthday Fun!Hello internet! Things here have been pretty busy.... you know, life? So, I havnt really been updating on here as much as I would like. But.... I'm here now, so thats all that counts right? Last week we went to Lance's little BFF's birthday party, he turned 2! Lance had so much fun! I will be putting a couple of pics up on my flikr accnt so go check it out! Also, the same night Lance got to go spend the night with his Aunt Murphy because Chris and I had a banquet to go to for his work! He was in the top 10% of his location (over 700 people!)so he got invited to this dinner/party! We had a lot of fun and I had some wine... lol. He got to go up on stage and recieve an award for being so awesome at his job! I was a very proud wifey.

I have been filling out invitations for Lance's birthday party. He will be turning 3 this month... I am hoping to get the invitations in the mail today so people will have plenty of time to RSVP. His theme is pirates and I am getting him a little "pirate head scarf" to wear at his party. It is going to be so cute! We are having his party at Planet Pizza! It is like an amusement park for little kids and it is indoors! I picked out his cake last night. It is a pirate ship deck and it is going to say "Man the deck! Lance is 3!" on it.

I am hoping to find a babysitter for this Friday night because Chris and I have a friend (Jenny's husband) who is turning 35 and they want to go out for drinks and fun! Hopefully I will be able to find one.

We are moving soon and the date is quickly approaching. We move in 18 days, so i need to get started on packing up this apartment. I am so super excited about our new apartment. I am anxious because since our first apartment, nowhere has really felt like "home". Maybe this one will.

Thats all for now! Thanks for visiting my blog, keep reading and have a great day!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-47838833185071149782009-02-04T10:08:00.000-08:002009-02-04T10:16:30.554-08:00New New New<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 260px; height: 260px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtLE5VkXHLFPB9tbhFqkj3Ec0MGzHCZ4vaQdgePY-QInTPM_wTJjw3q-o4M3YHXSgt5IVcu8pCCrGHNt661R_tpcFZ0Vku-YAmdYvw-4Z5x7j__UxWaXNaPbONVOzK6YsBlLF_gskYqE1a/s320/comforter.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299006787825532306" />
So, in the exitement of getting a new place and a new start, I have been looking at new furniture and stuff. I found a FABULOUS dresser that is sort of vintage inspired! And for those who know me well, know that I love all things vintage! I also found a GREAT comforter! I posted the pic above! I don't want the pink sheets or anything (okay, I do... but I dont think Chris would go for it, lol). I think it would look so good with the black bed that we already have. We have also found a new tv stand to go with our new tv!

I have also been in contact with my mom's best friend from when I was young. We are going to meet up and have lunch after Valentines day! I am so excited that i will be able to talk with someone who knew my mom so well. My sister and my grandmother are also going to go.

Chris went out to lunch with his brother and his best friend Shawn today. They are going to Chipotle and he is going to bring me back some food! I am so excited because I love Chipotle!

Thats all for now! So, this morning i made a check list of all the things i need to get done today. Some of which included things i needed to do outside the home. So I made arrangements with Chris for me to have the car after his lunch break today. I take him back to work and proceed to drive 20 min away to Big Lots to by Lance's little BFF a birthday present for his party on Saturday. I get there and go inside only to realize that I forgot to get the debit card from Chris. So I wasted the entire trip. Because of this I also am unable to go pick up perscriptions at Walgreens like I needed to do. So, the last stop on my list was to drop off Chris' dress pants at the cleaners. This I actually get done with no problem. I was so bummed however that I think to myself well, I have actually a couple of dollars cash so I can at least treat myself to a frap from Starbucks. I get in the drive through because I have a sleeping toddler in the back, and order. I order my ususal Caramel Lite Frappacino in Grande. Before i get to the window I am going to get my wallet out. It's not there, so I have to wait for the two cars in front of me to get their order to leave. I also cannot back up because there is a line of cars behind me. I get to the window and I am so distraught. I tell the guy, I am so sorry but I forgot my wallet at home. I live just around the corner is there anyway you can set that aside for about 5 min while i run home and get my money. He says, you know what? It is already made, don't worry about it, and hands me my much needed caffeine. And that ladies and gentlemen is how you get free Starbucks.

On another note, I got in touch with my mom's best friend from years ago, and we are having lunch sometime soon.Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-75210210075118501252009-02-01T08:08:00.000-08:002009-02-01T08:21:13.570-08:00Longing to cook a homecooked mealIt's been a while since I blogged, i have been up to my eyeballs in a screaming toddler wanting all of mommy's attention. But, there are some exciting new things on the horizon for the Stone family.

The first of which is Chris' banquet at work. We are going to this on the 7th. It is pretty exciting because only the top 10% of his company got invited! Go hubster! We get to dress up all semi-formal and go out for a fantastic dinner! I think they will be giving away free stuff and awards and things like that, so maybe we will come home with something. Not to mention, that we have a babysitter for the night which is awesome because i wont have to go out late and then get up wit the baby early in the morning.

In other news, we also are moving! We got a new apartment in a diff complex right across the street so it will be an easy move! It is an amazing apartment! It is a second story apartment, but the cool thing is, we will have no downstairs neighbors! Our apartment is on top of our attached garage! Another simply great feature is that our front door is on the ground floor and when you come inside, you go up stairs into out dining room! It's like our own little townhome, or condo, or whatever they are called. We also have bought a new TV to go in the new apartment! Super stoked about that! Finally we can upgrade from the 27' TV that we bought 6 years ago, lol. We are also getting an x box 360 (mainly for Chris although i admit, i will probably play it)from our friends! Our new apartment is 3 bedrooms with a big living room and big dining room so now I will finally have room for my dining room table.

Also, and the biggest news.... Lance will be turning 3 on the 28th! My little man is growing up so big!!!

Thats all for now, I'll talk at you later!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-442608268990994202009-01-25T13:46:00.000-08:002009-01-25T13:56:33.434-08:00PamperingSo, as you probably already know, I LOVE to pamper myself. There is not much better than sitting in a massage chair with one person making your nails beautiful, while another person is making your feet beautiful. BUT, like the rest of you, my family has come on some hard times... so in an attempt to save money, I have decided, along with my friend Jenny, to do my own feet. I bought myself a "Pedegg" to help with the softening of feet part. Now, this product works GREAT the first time you use it. But after that you need to purchase the refills because the blades on it become extremely dull. I have also discovered that I officially SUCK at painting my toes.

Today is also the start of my new.. "Get a great body for Cancun" diet. I have got to loose the extra lbs! Thats all for now!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-15849741577040133512009-01-19T09:02:00.000-08:002009-01-19T09:10:03.266-08:00Whatcha up to?How have you been? Things here are going pretty good! Just cleaning and such. I should be cleaning right now, but hey, i can take a break right?

Do you ever feel like your house is never clean enough? I think that it may be because I am just dissatisfied with my things. Like I am trying to get it clean thinking it will make my place look better when in reality, I would love the money to be able to buy a few things for my home. I would like some lamps and some things for the walls, some shelves and a book shelf... those are just to start, i want an area rug for my living room! And i could go on and on and on, but I wont, lol.

I get to go shopping today to get myself a few shirts. I have been feeling like crap lately because I dont like any of my clothes. Plus a little extra poundage helps with that. I am going to try to loose some weight for Cancun! I am going to hit up a few stores near my house to see if I can put together a few outfits for cheap. That would make me feel so much better!

Well, I better get back to my chores, lol. Hope you have a fantastic day!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-23040000189124040162009-01-11T07:31:00.000-08:002009-01-11T07:37:10.559-08:00Sipping on some coffee!I am sitting on my couch, with nursing my first cup of coffee of today. If you hadn't noticed yet, I love coffee. I honestly think it is what keeps me going on those days you just don't want to get out of bed. The Italian Sweet Cream... it calls to me!

I have been having a bout with cabin fever these past few days! I don't know why, I just want to be going, and doing. But mostly I think it's because I am out of meds right now and when i get by myself (without adult interaction) I get antsy. It was great last night that my best friend Merinda and her bf Andrew came over for a while. And I have plans tonight with another really close friend of mine, Jenny. She has a little boy right around Lance's age, and our husbands really get along as well, so we are making a family outing to dinner at Jen's house tonight! I am really looking forward to it.

Well, I'll write more later talking to Helen!!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-3212051063653407122009-01-10T12:02:00.000-08:002009-01-10T12:08:56.732-08:00Bad dayWow, today has been one of those days so far for me. I am so irritated with everything. I do not have the patience with my son that I should, and although my cable was turned back on today, I can't get my TV to work. Sucks that I was just in the middle of a movie about 30 min ago and i didnt get to finish it.

Oh well.

As for my apartment, well, I thought it was getting clean, but I guess it will never be good enough... :/Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-56944872230611089042009-01-05T09:20:00.000-08:002009-01-05T09:28:47.727-08:00Home Sweet Home! After a much needed weekend away in good ole' Simpson, LA... I am home. I had such a good time visiting with my family, but I am glad to be home. So much to be done now that I am..

I have got to get this apartment clean! It is pretty much trashed. Laundry and dishes to be done not to mention just plain old cleaning.

On a lighter note, this is what Lance is getting for his birthday!

http://www.target.com/Fisher-Price-Power-Wheels-Lil-Quad/dp/B000XSBXAU/sr=1-1/qid=1231175750/ref=sr_1_1/191-8063103-6853860?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Apower%20wheels%20lil%20quad&page=1Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6142216053022480192.post-43570698530752838752008-12-31T16:52:00.000-08:002008-12-31T17:57:05.499-08:002009Well, I sure hope that 2009 rocks the socks off of 2008. Lets just say that 2008 was pretty much the worst year of my life. Between the rocky roads of "Chris and I" and then my bipolar and borderline diagnoses, and my fall into a world of addiction, to the rise out, to the death of my mother... I pray that good things come to me in 2009.

Besides the fact that at the moment I am sitting at home by myself with a toddler, it holds promise. I am heading out tomorrow morning to visit family in Louisiana. I will be there until Sunday. I havn't been "back home" in forever. I wasn't born there, but I used to go there every summer and to me it's always felt like home.

Tonight, i dont have any plans. New Years Eve and I don't have a baby sitter so I can't go out. Chris, however, may. I don't know yet.

Thats all for now! I hope you all have a great night! Have a drink for me!Amanda Stonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15487800580901217843noreply@blogger.com0
